Is free or you can pay $20 for a year and be higher in the search engines.
How about
GenCircles.com isn't connected. It is about 1/3rd as big as RWWC, I believe.
There are half a dozen GEDCOM -> HTML utilities out there as freeware, shareware or careware. You could put it on your own personal web site.
I get most of my queries and additional data from people who saw my data on RWWC.
Good question. I've watch-listed it. Sometimes it seems like Ancestry.com OWNS genealogy information. I'll freak when I find out they've bought the Church of Latter Days Saints.
I've seen plenty of beautiful personal web sites dedicated to a persons family. The problem would be that the cheaper web site providers (like Yahoo!) might not allow you the meta-tags to draw traffic from elsewhere. I am considering this option, however, at least for starters. There are also software packages that allow display options for genealogy info; but then that's more money, too.
You might pose this question to Kim Commando at www.komando.com
Good luck and maybe our databases might cross paths one of these days....
In all honesty, I have seen TOO MANY files "ripped off" and reposted by others, as 'their" data.
I have 25+ yrs of research, and it has been more than freely shared with the persons who are related. My database is not uploaded anywhere.
Just playing Devil's advocate here.. think for yourself if you really feel that you want, or have reason to post it online.
