With the Affiliate Program, is everything done automatically or do I have to personally recruit customers?

The Affiliate Program is new to me. I would like to know if I would have to personally recruit customers (door to door or some other means), or if once initial set up of services are complete, will everything be done automatically?

Affiliate programs are typically those programs that a publisher like you joins or signs up to earn money -- and you earn money through commissions by selling the company's products.
